October 18 — Honor Unlocks Glory Romans 12:10
“Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another.”
Romans 12:10 Sound Devotional
Reflection
Honor is not flattery. Honor is recognition of divine design.
When you honor what God has placed in someone—His image, His calling, His anointing—you create an atmosphere where glory can rest.
Glory is the manifested weight of God’s presence. And honor is the invitation.
Jesus Himself was limited in Nazareth because of dishonor. In Mark 6, familiarity suffocated faith. The people saw the carpenter but failed to discern the Christ. Where honor was withheld, miracles were restrained.
Honor unlocks what dishonor restricts.
When you honor: You pull on heaven. You recognize covenant. You affirm God’s investment in a person or place. You make room for increase.
Glory does not contend with contempt.
The Spirit of the Lord would say: Where you sow honor, you will reap revelation. What you celebrate increases. What you dishonor diminishes in your awareness.
Honor unlocks glory in:
• Families—When spouses and children are treated as carriers of destiny, peace increases.•
Churches—When leaders and members are honored rightly, unity releases authority.•
Regions—When the land and its history are honored before the Lord, healing flows.
Dishonor closes doors. Honor opens heavens.
Even toward the Lord—honor positions the heart for encounter. When we approach Him casually, we may receive information. When we approach Him with reverence, we encounter transformation.
Glory rests where honor dwells.
Today, ask the Lord: Where have I withheld honor? Where have I allowed familiarity to dull reverence?
Restore honor—and watch the atmosphere shift.
Prayer
Our Father in heaven, teach us, Lord, to walk in true honor. Remove all pride, familiarity, and offense from our hearts. Help us recognize Your image and Your anointing in others. Let everything we do create an atmosphere where Your glory is welcomed and sustained.
In Jesus’ wonderful, wonderful name.
