October 9 — The North Star — Chain of Fools Revelation 22:16
“I, Jesus… am the Root and the Offspring of David, the Bright and Morning Star.”
Revelation 22:16 Sound Devotional
Reflection
Beloved, in ancient times sailors did not navigate by feelings, waves, or winds—they navigated by a fixed star. The North Star does not wander. It does not bow to storms. It does not shift with the seasons. It remains steady while the whole sky appears to move around it.
So it is with Jesus.
Though Revelation calls Him the Bright and Morning Star, prophetically we see Him also as our North Star—the fixed, unmovable point in a spinning world. Nations shake. Economies tremble. Culture drifts. But Jesus remains constant. He is the axis around which eternity turns.
When Israel moved through the wilderness, they followed a pillar of fire by night. Today, we follow a Person. Christ is heaven’s fixed point. When your life feels disoriented—when prophetic promises seem delayed, when the land beneath you feels unstable—look up. The North Star is not found by staring at the sand but by lifting your eyes.
The enemy’s strategy in this hour is spiritual disorientation. Confusion. Compromise. A slow drifting off course. But sailors only drift when they stop checking their bearing. The Spirit is saying: Recalibrate. Fix your gaze again.
Hebrews tells us to look unto Jesus, the Author and Finisher of our faith. He is not merely the beginning of your journey—He is your continual reference point. If your decisions, doctrines, or desires cannot align with Him, they are not true north.
Prophetically, I sense this: many have felt like they are circling in the dark. The Lord says, “You are not lost. You are being re-aligned.” I am resetting your compass. I am clearing the clouds. I am teaching you to navigate by My presence, not by popular opinion.
The North Star does not chase the ship; the ship adjusts to the star. Jesus is not adjusting to culture. He is not bending to trends. He is not shifting with political winds. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever. And those who anchor their lives to Him will not be swept away.
Let worship become your sextant. Let the Word become your compass. Let the Holy Spirit become your wind. And let Christ remain your fixed point.
Lift your eyes tonight. The storm may roar, but the Star still shines.
Prayer
Lord Jesus, You are our fixed point in every season. When everything around us shifts, thank You for keeping our hearts anchored to You. Realign our compass. Clear our vision. Teach us Lord to navigate by Your Word and not by fear.
Yeshua, we fix our eyes on You—the Bright and Morning Star, our true North.
We love You Lord, we love You, we love, You True North.
