May 25 — Rise and Be Healed: Sound Devotional, Acts 3:6

"Then Peter said, ‘Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.’"

Acts 3:6 Sound Devotional

Reflection

The command to rise is often spoken before the evidence of healing appears. Heaven does not wait for strength to show up before it speaks; it speaks so that strength may come. “Rise” is not a suggestion—it is an awakening. It calls what is dormant to attention and what is broken to alignment.

“Rise and be healed” carries both authority and compassion. It is not a demand rooted in pressure, but an invitation rooted in Christ’s finished work. Healing does not begin in the body alone; it begins when the soul agrees with Heaven’s word over its condition.

Notice that Peter did not offer sympathy—he offered identity. He invoked the Name, and the Name released power. What had been carried for years was undone in a moment because obedience met faith. The man stood not because he had practiced walking, but because the Word restored what time had stolen.

Beloved, there are places in you the Lord is calling to rise—areas that have learned to sit, to wait, to cope. The Spirit is saying: do not measure your movement by how you feel. Measure it by what has been spoken. Healing often follows motion. As you rise in faith, Heaven supplies what is needed for the step.

This is a season of holy interruption. Old labels—“injured,” “delayed,” “weakened”—are losing their authority. The voice of the Lord is calling you out of the posture of limitation and into the posture of restoration.

Rise above the memory of pain.
Rise beyond the fear of disappointment.
Rise—not in your own strength, but in His Name.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, we respond to Your word today. Where we have been sitting in limitation, we choose to rise in faith. Thank You, Great Healer, for Your healing
power flowing through every area of all that we are—spirit, soul, and body.

We trust Your word over our circumstances. We magnify the power of Your holy
Word above every negative report. The facts may be true, but they have not
factored in You.

In Your mighty name, Healing King—Faithful and True—we pray.
Amen.
