August 28th — Run With the Horses: Sound Devotional, Jeremiah 12:5

“If you have run with the footmen, and they have wearied you,

Then how can you contend with horses?”

Jeremiah 12:5 Sound Devotional

Reflection

There comes a moment when God stops
training you for survival and begins preparing you for speed, power, and scale. The footmen season taught endurance. The horse season requires courage. You are not being punished by the pace—you are being promoted by it.

Running with the horses is not about striving harder; it is about moving
differently. Horses do not shuffle. They do not hesitate. They run with muscle memory and trust in their rider. This is a call to maturity—to stop measuring yourself by slower seasons and to align with the acceleration of heaven.

The fatigue you feel is not proof that you are failing; it is evidence that your capacity is expanding. God never invites you to run with horses without first strengthening your legs in hidden places. What exhausted you before will no longer stop you now—if you adjust to the new rhythm.

This is a season where distractions must fall away. You cannot run with horses while constantly looking sideways. Focus sharpens. Vision narrows. Breath aligns. The Spirit is setting a pace that demands full attention and full surrender.

The Lord is saying: You have proven faithful at one speed. Now trust Me at another. The terrain may feel wild, the wind stronger, the stakes higher—but so is the grace. Horses run where footmen cannot go.

Do not resist the pull forward.
Do not downgrade the call because of fear.
Lift your stride. Match heaven’s pace.
You were trained for this.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, thank You for strengthening us for the pace You are setting.
Adjust our rhythm to Yours Lord and remove every weight that has slowed usdown. We choose to trust You as You call us into greater momentum and purpose. We will run with the horses in Your grace. Lord Jesus in You name we pray.
