August 15th — The Man who has a Vision You Cant See: Sound Devotional, Habakkuk 2:2

“Write the vision and make it plain on tablets,

That he may run who reads it.”

Habakkuk 2:2 Sound Devotional

Reflection

There is always a moment in God’s story when one person is carrying a sight no one else recognizes. The vision has weight, direction, and timing—but not yet agreement. To the crowd, it looks like presumption. To the fearful, it looks like foolishness. To the uninitiated, it looks like nothing at all.

The man who has a vision you can’t see is often misunderstood before he is trusted. He speaks of things not yet built, paths not yet cleared, outcomes not yet visible. But vision is not born in consensus—it is born in encounter. God does not reveal tomorrow to everyone at once. He entrusts it to one, so obedience can go before explanation.

This devotion is a word for both the carrier and the observers. To the carrier: you are not wrong because you are alone. You are not delayed because others don’t see it yet. Heaven validates vision before earth affirms it. If God gave it, He will sustain it—clarify it, test it, and fulfill it in His time.

To those who cannot see it yet: be careful what you dismiss. Many have opposed what they did not understand, only to later walk in its fruit. Vision often sounds like arrogance to the insecure and rebellion to the comfortable. But God is not threatened by unfamiliar sightlines.

The Lord is saying in this hour: “I am raising watchmen who see farther than the crowd and builders who labor before applause.” Visionaries are not called to convince everyone—they are called to remain faithful. When the time is right, what was once invisible will become undeniable.

Prayer

O Lord our Lord, thank You for strengthening those who carry vision from You. Thank You, for guarding them from discouragement, pride, and fear. Bless them with clarity, patience, and obedience until the appointed time. And in Your great grace give us humble hearts to discern what You are birthing, even when we cannot yet see it.
In the name of Jesus the son of all grace we pray., amen
